Kenya Association for Breastfeeding Named 2026 Global Partner of ILCA

We are proud to announce that the Kenya Association for Breastfeeding (KAB) has been named a 2026 Global Partner of the International Lactation Consultant Association (ILCA).

This partnership recognizes our continued commitment to advancing breastfeeding support, education, and advocacy across Kenya, and connects us with ILCA’s community of members spanning more than 90 countries across six continents. Ilca

What this partnership brings to KAB and our members:

  • Discounted ILCA membership — our members can now access ILCA membership at a 30% discount, including full membership benefits and digital access to the Journal of Human Lactation (JHL). Ilca
  • Global advocacy network — as part of the Global Partner Program, we join a global network of organizations working together to advocate for breastfeeding and skilled lactation care, amplifying our voice on national and international platforms. Ilca
  • Shared learning and growth — the partnership is built on promoting mutual organizational growth through the sharing of knowledge, experience, and educational resources between ILCA and partner organizations worldwide. Ilca
  • Stronger professional standards — as a Global Partner, KAB commits to upholding shared values with ILCA, including adherence to the International Code of Marketing of Breast-milk Substitutes and subsequent World Health Assembly resolutions. Ilca

For individual lactation professionals, ILCA membership also opens up access to continuing education, member discounts on conferences and publications, and a global network of IBCLCs and breastfeeding advocates to learn from and collaborate with.

We’re grateful to ILCA for this recognition and excited for what this partnership will bring to the mothers, families, and health workers we serve across Kenya.

Look out for the official ILCA Global Partner badge, now proudly displayed on our website.
